The Women’s Department of Mount Zion Baptist Church, under the general supervision of the pastor; spearheaded by an elected chairperson, strives to help develop a spiritual fellowship among the women of the church that will strengthen them in their faith and love of Our Lord Jesus Christ. It seeks to help provide information as well as inspiration to Mt. Zion’s women as they strive to be devoted wives, mothers, daughters and sisters in Christ.

The purpose of the Missionary Society is to provide spiritual support and fellowship for adult women through monthly prayer and bible study. To promote and spread the Word of God to people outside of the church and provide support to our sick and shut-in through prayer and encouragement via thoughtful cards and visitation. Regular monthly meetings are held on the selected days of the week each month and are open to all women –– members and non-members.
